Before choosing locker delivery in Poland, confirm that the selected shipping service supports the requested InPost locker or pickup point. What a locker delivery requires from you
Three details have to be correct: the phone number linked to the locker account, the locker or pickup point selected, and the parcel's practical size. A wrong number means no collection code, and an oversized box means no fitting compartment. Both problems are easy to prevent in China and awkward to fix in Poland.
Decide the delivery method before the parcel is packed, not after. Once goods have been consolidated and sealed, changing the destination format can require repacking, and repacking is a China-side task that only happens while the parcel is still in the warehouse.
Packing to fit a locker compartment
Ask for the packed dimensions and the actual weight before approving dispatch, then compare them against the receiving option you chose. Clothing and small accessories compress well; shoeboxes, rigid packaging and protective foam add volume quickly. If the box is close to a limit, removing unnecessary retail packaging is usually the simplest fix, as long as the protection stays adequate.
Fragile items inside a locker parcel still need internal protection. Compression is not the same as protection, and a box that fits is not automatically a box that survives sorting machinery.
Documents and value for the Polish leg
The paperwork is unchanged by the delivery format: a product description in ordinary language, an amount equal to what you paid, and evidence behind both. Keep the listing, the seller conversation, the payment receipt and the intake photos together, because a locker delivery still passes through customs handling like any other import. VAT, customs duty and carrier service fees are separate. Check the European Commission guidance on low-value imports and the applicable Polish guidance for your shipment. Do not rely on an old duty threshold or assume a locker delivery changes the import treatment.
Storage timing while the parcel waits
Check the current Warehouse Storage Policy and the deadline shown in your account before leaving goods in storage. Free and paid periods, charges and overdue handling follow that policy. If waiting for another parcel, confirm that its arrival fits the storage deadline and that the goods can use the same shipping route.
Do not let the parcel sit out of habit, though. A locker choice, a phone number and a delivery preference are all things that change quietly over a few months, and a stale order is the one most likely to catch an outdated detail.
Costs, service levels and payment
Applicable procurement fees belong to buying-agent orders; confirm the charges for a forwarding-only request separately. International freight depends on the packed parcel and selected route, including applicable actual or volumetric weight. Check the written route estimate and local delivery arrangements before approving dispatch; neither is a guaranteed arrival date.
Review the Payment Policy and the methods displayed for your actual order before paying. Confirm whether the request concerns purchasing goods or forwarding goods you already bought.
When the locker is full or the code never arrives
If the selected locker or pickup point cannot accept the parcel, follow the current delivery operator's tracking and notifications. Check the collection deadline and any alternative delivery instructions; do not assume automatic rerouting to a nearby point.
If the expected notification does not arrive, check the recipient contact details and tracking status, then ask the responsible delivery operator for help. Have the tracking reference and selected delivery option ready. A missing message alone does not identify the cause.
