Short answer

Dutch VAT is not settled with the Chinese warehouse; it is assessed when the parcel enters the Netherlands. Your task before export is therefore to make the file consistent, with the invoice value, the declaration description and the actual contents all describing the same purchase. Then choose between home delivery and a pickup point. CNCartGo's China-side work carries a 6–15% service fee, freight is quoted separately, and the first 100 days of storage are free.

Three documents that decide a Dutch VAT question

The first is the order record from the marketplace or the seller: what you bought, which variant, how much it cost. The second is the payment proof - the amount that actually left your account. The third is the warehouse intake photo showing the item that arrived in Guangzhou. When all three describe the same thing, the declared value explains itself.

Store them in one folder per order and name the files by date. A quiet, well-labelled folder beats a frantic search after the parcel has already left China.

Home delivery or a pickup point

Dutch delivery usually ends with a domestic carrier, and you generally get to choose how the parcel reaches you. Home delivery suits large or heavy boxes that are awkward to carry; a pickup point often suits smaller parcels when nobody is home during the day. Decide before export, because rerouting inside the destination country is slower and can add a charge.

Write the address exactly as it appears on an official document: street, house number, postcode and city, plus a phone number the carrier can actually ring.

Why the declared value has to match the listing

Customs authorities compare what they see with what they are told. If the box contains three items and the paperwork mentions one, or if the declared total ignores a separate seller charge, the parcel becomes a question instead of a delivery. Use the real amount paid; if the purchase included a discount or a bundle, the order record already explains it.

The same logic applies to description. Name the object the way the seller's listing names it, and keep the wording identical across the declaration, the packing list and the photo captions.

When one Dutch order arrives in several domestic boxes

Sellers frequently ship a single purchase in more than one parcel. That is fine, but each box needs its own tracking number recorded against the same order, and the intake photos should show which box contained what. Consolidation at the warehouse then turns several loose arrivals into one international shipment with one declaration.

If one parcel is delayed while the others are ready, the free storage window is what makes waiting sensible: up to 100 days at no cost, then ¥0.1 per parcel per day, with a maximum of 180 days.

The costs, in plain numbers

The CNCartGo service fee is 6–15% of the order value handled. International freight is separate and is settled after the packed parcel is weighed, so the final figure can move up or down from the first estimate. Transit options are express at 5–10 business days, postal at 10–25, and economy at 20–35.

Payment is limited to Stripe, bank card and Wallet Balance. There is no PayPal option on the site, so set up your funding route before you request a quote for a specific box.

Repeat orders: keeping the same standard

The second order is where most buyers relax. Keep the same file structure anyway - order record, payment proof, intake photos, packing request - because a repeat purchase is the easiest one to prove and the easiest one to muddle. When the same item is bought again at a different price, the older file explains the difference immediately.

A consistent standard also shortens decisions. If two Dutch orders were handled the same way, the second shipment typically needs one check on the address and one check on the packed weight, and the rest is muscle memory.

Three links that answer the next question

How parcels are grouped is covered in combine parcels or ship separately; the purchase stage sits in the buyer guide for Chinese marketplaces; and the collection of import charges at delivery is explained under DDP vs DDU.

Before you approve the Dutch shipment

  • Order record, payment proof and intake photos filed together
  • Description copied from the listing, not paraphrased later
  • Value reconcilable to the amount actually paid
  • Multiple domestic parcels all linked to the one order number
  • Delivery method decided: home address or pickup point
  • Complete address, postcode, unit number and phone included
  • Freight quote requested for the packed parcel
